What:  We are a non-profit senior center for independent seniors ages 55+ in the Harrisburg area. We recently had a visit with a therapy horse at our center, and the members loved it. We would love to have dogs, cats, or miniature horses in the future to visit with our seniors.

When:  Would love a visit in November and we would prefer afternoons but can be flexible  between 9 AM and 2 PM

This parade is a community celebration in honor of the 2017 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Pennsylvania, which is being held in Lancaster City for the first time.   It will feature colorful, large-scale puppets that students from every district in Lancaster County will have made to represent their unique communities, as well as local musicians, performers, and cultural groups.

When:  Sunday, October 22, 2017  to usher in the week of festivities leading up to the Governor’s Award Ceremony, which takes place on October 26th.

Where:  The parade begins and ends at Clipper Stadium-650 N Prince St, Lancaster, PA   where there is ample parking. It will cover a 1.8-mile loop that goes through the heart of Lancaster City.

Time:  It begins at 1:00 pm and will finish around 3:00 pm, we estimate. Participants are asked to be at Clipper Stadium by 12:30

What:  ECHOS is a shelter for homeless men, women and children, both individuals and families. They have had a KPETS team visiting them regularly for quite some time, but they have retired. ECHOS would love to establish a relationship with another KPETS team. The teams would hang out with the shelter guests as the arrive and eat dinner together.

When:  Weekly visits, if possible, depending on their census, at 6:45 in the evening. They would like the first visit on December 12, 2017.
